The inspiration behind Alaska Sundance Retreat B&B came from Jim’s background in hospitality and his love of everything Alaska has to offer – fishing, hunting, captivating scenery, outdoor play and the romance of the majestic sun.
With Jim moving to Alaska over 30 years ago, he purchased property and decided to expand the structure of his home and opened Alaska Sundance Retreat B&B in 2007, located on the Anchorage Hillside.
While seeking the right name for the B&B, the sun shined through the Great Room Prow windows showing off her brilliant richness with a dance. And the name was clear, Alaska Sundance Retreat.
The property is warm and has a home-like charm to enrich our guest's experience. We aim to provide an upscale elegance in our hospitality whether you are looking for an in-state stay-cation getaway or are a business traveler or a vacationer or are looking to create a romantic memory – we are here.
We provide our guests with a full breakfast and consierge service to help with their itineraries, restaurants, tour operators, fishing charters and activities to do in the area.
